Nzara teachers demand unpaid salaries

The County Commissioner of Nzara County, Gbudwe State says primary school teachers are on a sit-in strike over lack of salaries since April this year.

Commissioner Elias Richard says the teachers said they are not willing to continue teaching if there arrears are not paid in full.

“The teachers are going [to school] but feeling reluctant to teach the pupils,” Mr Richard told Eye Radio.

There are 20 primary schools in Nzara.
