A 24-year-old Ugandan lady will be deported for infecting several men with HIV/AIDS in Yei, an immigration official has told Eye Radio.

Panther Madok,  crimes control officer at the Yei River County Immigration Department, says Patricia A. is now under detention.

Residents had accused her of infecting several men including politicians, pastors, and youth in the town.

“She has confirmed that she is sick and we got her documents from the hospital,” Mr Madok said.

The young lady entered the country in December 2014. He said says they are waiting for directives from the police headquarters to deport her.

“I’ve reported this case to the director at the headquarters in Juba and the director said that a case has to be opened against her.”

The Ugandan lady was working as a waitress in a hotel in the border town.
