The President of Uganda is urging the two warring parties in South Sudan to respect the agreement they signed in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, last month.

He said peace is inevitable for development of South Sudan.

“The peace which you agreed to in Addis Ababa is very important and I am sure that, the parties respect what is that peace agreement, south Sudan will regain total peace in the whole country and you will continue on your journey of construction and development,” said Mr Museveni.

“Countries and societies are like human being. As you grow up, you face a lot of challenges but if you learn from these challenges and find solutions, you will succeed.”

President Museveni added that the regional mediators will help South Sudan achieve lasting peace.
