Eastern Equatoria State security have arrested people suspected of playing a role in the grenade attack that killed six people in Torit town over the weekend.

The attacker threw a hand grenade into a disco hall on Saturday.

State governor Luis Lobong had promised more than 100, 000 pounds to anyone who could reveal information about the attackers.

The Police Commissioner in the state, General Edward, told Eye Radio this afternoon that the suspects are under investigation.

“We have arrested suspects but we don’t want to announce their number because it will affect our investigation process, and maybe it will not lead us to the real criminal,” Gen. Dimitry confirmed.

Gen. Dimitry said more forces have been deployed in the town to maintain security.

Nightlife has been banned in the town.
