Speaker Nunu: “My foundation is nonpartisan”

The Speaker of the national parliament, Jemma Nunu Kumba said her foundation is not politically affiliated, but rather an independent organization that will empower youth, women and children in the country.

Nunu, the country’s first female speaker said the foundation is an independent, non-profit organization, which is neither run by the government nor affiliated with her political position.

“The initiative is really nonpartisan it has nothing to do with politics some people may think this foundation is a political organization,” said Nunu during the official launch on Friday.

“It is absolutely a non-governmental entity to help empower youth and women and children across  South Sudan of course as one of the women leaders of the country.”

“My aim is to create a platform that will help to allow us to support our vulnerable communities as a practical demonstration of social cooperate responsibility.”

The foundation was established in August. 6th, 2022 at freedom hall.
