The Chief Administrator of Ruweng Administrative Area, Daniel Makuei, has urged newly appointed ministers, county commissioners, and municipal officials to prioritize service delivery to the people.
Makuei made the remarks on Sunday while presiding over the swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed ministers, commissioners, and municipal officials in Panriang.
He said effective governance and development require collective effort, and called on the officials to put aside personal interests and focus on serving the population.
“I ask all of you to cooperate because what lies ahead of us is well known to everyone. It is not my duty alone; it is a responsibility shared by all of us. Likewise, it is not my role alone to change the situation in this area. It is our collective responsibility to ensure that conditions are in place for development and service delivery,” he said.
The Chief Administrator stressed that transforming the area and addressing the needs of citizens is a shared responsibility that requires cooperation at all levels of government.
“We must work together and remain committed to serving our people. I have come here to join hands with all of you,” he added.
Those sworn in included ministers responsible for local government, infrastructure, agriculture, information, youth and sports, and labour. County commissioners and the Mayor of Panriang Municipal Council also took the oath of office.
Makuei expressed confidence that the newly appointed officials would work together to strengthen governance and accelerate development across the administrative area.
