President Kiir returns from Russia

President Kiir and his accompanying delegation on Saturday returned to Juba after a three-day visit to Russia.

Presidential Affairs Minister Dr. Barnaba Marial Benjamin said the two principals have agreed to expand the relations between Juba and Moscow in areas of trade, energy, and other areas, the Office of the President said in a statement.

It added that the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Dr. James Pitia Morgan said Russian President Vladimir Putin has promised to work with South Sudan to develop the mining sector.
