The examinations were conducted between December 1 and 9, 2025, following months of marking and processing by the South Sudan National Examinations Council.

According to the ministry, a total of 46,153 candidates registered for the examinations, comprising 26,768 males and 19,385 females. Of these, 45,776 candidates sat for the exams after 377 students were reported absent across examination centers nationwide.

The results show that 36,950 candidates passed the examinations, including 21,606 males and 15,344 females, translating into an overall pass rate of 80.7 percent. Female candidates slightly outperformed their male counterparts, recording a pass rate of 81 percent compared to 79.2 percent for males.

In the academic section, Christian Religious Education, Agriculture and Biology emerged as the most improved subjects, while General Science, Citizenship and Commerce registered the weakest performance.

In the Technical and Commercial streams, Building, Economics and Commerce showed the greatest improvement, whereas Mechanical Engineering and Financial Accounting remained challenging subjects for many candidates.

The ministry also disclosed that examination irregularities led to the nullification of results from one school in Eastern Equatoria State.

Eighty-seven candidates from the affected institution had their results cancelled due to alleged serious breaches of examination regulations. In addition, zero scores were awarded to 23 candidates from different schools for examination malpractice.

Among the top performers nationally, Maduet Mangong Maduet of Darling Wisdom Academy Secondary School (Pentagon Campus) ranked first with an aggregate score of 88.9 percent in the Arts section.

Malual Aluong Riak secured second position with 88.5 percent, while Kenyi Lado Lawon of Juba Integrated High School placed third with 88.3 percent.

In the Technical Section, Mary Kujang Joseph emerged as the best-performing candidate, scoring 81.1 percent, followed by Matiok Deng Matiok with 79.8 percent and Wani Richard Zacharia with 79.1 percent.

The release of the results brings to an end a prolonged wait for thousands of Senior Four candidates across the country and paves the way for successful students to pursue higher education and professional training opportunities.
