A 42-year-old mother has found her 13-year-old daughter in critical condition at a hospital in Juba, months after a soldier abducted her from Laniya County of Central Equatoria State early this year.

Mary Kiden says her daughter – who is a primary four student in Juba –spent her Christmas and New Year holidays with the family in Laniya last year.

She said on January 9th, she went to her farm when her daughter was abducted from home.

According to Kiden, a soldier claimed his car broke down near the house, before abducting her daughter.

She said the soldier then brought her to Juba where she was confined in the house and denied any communication with anyone including her relative.

Kiden said she has been searching for her daughter for three months.

On April 9th, she received a call from a doctor at a Juba-based hospital about her daughter being admitted due to bleeding from her Uterus.

“I am in Lainya and I was in the farming land then I found that my daughter was taken by an unidentified man, he kidnaped my daughter and brought her to Juba,” Mary told Eye Radio.

“I have been looking for my daughter since the 9th of January until I received a call on the 9th of April from a doctor that my daughter is in critical condition in a Hospital,

“The girl was brought to the hospital and was operated on. The man [abductor] has been beating the girl and she has been operated on because she had frozen blood in her Uterus.”

Mary Kiden is now calling for justice for her 13-year-old daughter, who is currently admitted to the hospital.

“The girl said she was taken to an area in Juba and was not allowed to go anywhere,” said Mary.

“I just want the government to look into the issue because I do not know what he did to the girl, she is very young, so I want to government to look into this.”
