Kiir nullifies appointments, replaces officials

President Salva Kiir on Friday cancelled appointments and appointed some members of the national parliament and several state officials.

In a Republican decree, Kiir revoked the appointment of SPLM-IO lawmakers Dr. Achol Marial Deng and Taban John, before replacing them with Peter Kuong Puoch and John Ludil Turuk.

In another decree, Kiir nullified the appointment of lawmakers from Northern Bahr el Ghazal State parliament.

The relieved legislators were Debek Atak Longar and Asunta Manheim, in positions the president appointed Martin Ael Garang Deng and Garang Kuc from the SPLM party.

Also, President Kiir relieved Mr. Bona Majok as member of NBGs Anti-Corruption Commission and replaced him with Mr. Anjelo Akuc.

In a similar decree, Kiir appointed Hon. Augustine Makur Jok Kuruk to Lakes State Legislative Assembly on the ticket of SPLM -IO.

Finally, the president relieved several officials from Central Equatoria State government.

Mr. Bullen Amos Suru has been removed from his position as deputy chairperson of the Employee Justice Chamber and replaced by Clement Kulang Gai.

Kiir also relieved Ms. Lidia Gordon Sasa as member of CES Anti-Corruption Commission and replaced her with Ms. Nura Benjamin Luke.

Meanwhile, Mr. Clement Kulang Gai has been replaced by Joice Ajulo Laura as a member of the state Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation Commission.
