Malarial drugs

There is a shortage of malarial drugs in Imatong, the state ministry of health has said.

The director general in the Ministry, Dr Augustine Okwahi, told Eye Radio that the state hospital receives huge number malaria cases on daily bases due to the rainy season.

“The drugs we have is not completely zero but it is because of high cases of malaria, and our concern is antimalarial,” Dr Okwahi told Eye Radio.

He called on health partners to intervene in the situation.

Dr Okwahi added that the state health ministry is in consultation with the National government and partners to support the state with drugs.
