IGAD and UNMISS say they can only transport 50 members of the advanced team of the SPLM-In opposition, an official has told Eye Radio.

On Wednesday, the Minister of Information, Michael Makuei, said they have received a list of 560 members who will be coming to.

It is not yet clear when they will arrive in the country.

The Spokesperson of the SPLM-In Opposition, James Gatdet said team will be in Juba as soon as IGAD finishes arrangements for their transport.

The Press Secretary in the office of the President, Ateny Wek Ateny, says the opposition advance team will be in the country if they accept the proposal of IGAD and UNMISS.

“If Taban Deng Gai, the Chief Negotiator on the other side, accepts that number, which is 50, they can come to Juba even tomorrow,” Mr Ateny stated.

However, the government told the media that it needed biographies of each of the 560 members the opposition has selected to travel to Juba. It’s unclear why.

The opposition is yet to comment on the matter.
