Gunmen kill a woman in Lokiliri, abduct 2 children

A local chief says a woman has been killed by gunmen in Central Equatoria.

He says three other people were wounded. And that two children were abducted.

Chief David Lado Tartizo says the attacks happened in Lokiliri Payam, Juba County, yesterday.

“Two people just came into the house and started shooting three women,” Chief Tartizo told Eye Radio. “One was wounded on the thigh, one was shot dead and the other one was wounded at the back.

He said the wounded women are receiving treatments at a hospital and the dead is in the village there.

The attackers took away two Children.

The chief also says a similar incident took place last year.

During the attacks, a soldier and a civilian were killed. Two children were also abducted.

Chief David Lado Tartizo wants the Juba County Commissioner to put up a police post in the area. Eye radio is trying to contact them for comment.
