South Sudanese nationals from Libya and Syria, which are affected by conflicts will be repatriated, the Minister of Foreign Affairs has said.

There are hundreds of South Sudanese nationals were working and studying there.

Dr. Barnaba Marial Benjamin told Eye Radio’s Dawn program that South Sudanese in these two countries will be repatriated through Egypt.

He says the government will also talk to Turkish authorities to allow South Sudanese in Syria to be evacuated through their territory.

Now we are trying to speak with them in any way to help our people in Libya. We also will talk with countries like Turkey because Turkey is close to Syria,” he said.

Last year, many South Sudanese who were caught up in the conflict in Syria were repatriated through Egypt.
