A veteran South Sudanese journalist is urging President Salva Kiir and the leader of the SPLM-SPLA In Opposition Dr. Riek Machar to make concession in the interest of peace.

Alfred Taban Logune is the Editor-in-Chief of the Juba Monitor English Daily Newspaper cum Chairman of the Association of Media Development in South Sudan, says he expects President Salva Kiir in his speech on Independence Day to address the issues of governance, fair distribution of power, and economic development.
