The father who pierced his daughter’s eyes in Tonj East County says he had been having a misunderstanding with his daughter since she was 13 years old.

In a statement to the media, Angelo Agany Kut says the level of disagreement between him and his daughter didn’t just start recently.

He says his daughter Akuot Agany Kut first eloped with a guy when she was 13.

Agany further says the daughter joined a gang group.

According to him, that brought shame to him, and as a father he tolerated her for a while.

“What you need to know is that what brought the issues between the two of us didn’t just start today. It has been there,” said Agany Kut – the father of the victim.

“All of you who are talking out there, you should come and hear from me as the father. To listen to why I did what I did to my daughter,

“Akuot started her criminal activities on 2nd June 2021. She joined the gang/nigga groups. In that group, she eloped with a man at the age of 13 years before she even received her first period,

“I went looking after her until I found her. That surprised a lot of people like how can a teenage girl of her age elope. As a father, I dealt with the situation calmly and forgave her. I went ahead to release the boy whom she had eloped with from the prisons.”

But Angany ended his statement without narrating what led to the latest incident where he pricked his daughter’s eyes.

For her part, Akuot Agany Kut stated in an interview that her father and uncle disclosed a plot to force her to marry a man she does not know.

Last week, Agany was arrested by Tonj East County authorities for allegedly torturing his daughter.
