The Governor of Central Equatoria State, Emmanuel Adil Anthony, has commended security forces across the state and Juba for ensuring peaceful celebrations of Independence Day.
Governor Adil made the remarks this morning after receiving a security briefing on yesterday’s Independence Day events.
He described this year’s celebrations as largely peaceful based on security reports presented to him.
The governor encouraged security forces to continue carrying out their mandate of protecting civilians and properties throughout the year.
He stressed that the calm and order witnessed during the celebrations should be maintained in the coming months.
Governor Adil also praised citizens for their high level of cooperation and support to security forces during the Independence Day celebrations.
He urged residents to continue working with security authorities to maintain peace and stability in the state.
