The Governor of Western Equatoria, Daniel Badagbu Rimbasa, has directed newly appointed state officials to prioritize peace, unity, public trust, and effective service delivery as they take up their new roles.

Speaking during their swearing-in ceremony in Yambio today, Governor Badagbu said the appointments are a responsibility to serve the people of Western Equatoria rather than individuals.

He called on the officials to promote peace, unity, trust, and better service delivery.

The governor also urged them to reject tribalism and work together to strengthen unity among the state’s communities.

Speaking on behalf of the newly appointed officials, the Minister of Local Government and Law Enforcement, Abel Sudan, thanked the governor for the confidence placed in them.

He said they are committed to serving the people with dedication and supporting peace, development, and improved service delivery.

The officials assumed office following their recent appointments by President Salva Kiir.
