The Minister for Justice, Paulino Wanawila, today presented a bill to the parliament to amend the transitional constitution and extend the mandate of the government until 2017.

The bill is aimed at retaining legitimacy of the government when the term expires in July.

MPs have referred it to the specialized committee for justice and legal affairs for scrutiny.
