The army has accused the Opposition forces of fresh attacks on its bases in Unity State.

SPLA spokesperson Colonel Philip Aguer says the SPLM-IO forces attacked Leer on Saturday and this morning.

He says opposition forces have occupied part of Nhial Dieu, an area south of Bentiu.

“The fighting is still going on in Nhial-diew and they have occupied part of ‘it],” Col Aguer said. “This is critical violations on the side of the rebels of Riek Machar.”

No casualties have been reported.
