President Salva Kiir has urged the SPLM in Opposition forces all over the country to report to their cantonment sites.

Salva Kiir also appealed to communities to convince their youth who are members of different armed groups to return.

The President made a warning call while addressing SPLM members during a ceremony today to celebrate the party official registration.

“If people do not enter the cantonment areas, we will not just sit in Juba, we will go out,” he said. “And all operations that will go out will go under my directives and supervision.”

The cantonment sites are in Logurun near Kiyala in Imatong State, Limu River on Kajo-Keji road, Kedeba in the former Western Eqautoria, and Jebel Ladu.

Mr Kiir also appealed the public not to retaliate over the recent incidents of highway and road ambushes in which people were killed.

The occasion was to mark the official registration as a political party in South Sudan.

A number of political parties in the country have been receiving the registration certificate since May.
