Sudan’s national women’s football team suffered an embarrassing 30-0 defeat to Comoros in the African qualifiers for the Los Angeles 2028 Women’s Olympic Football Tournament.

Comoros dismantled Sudan 17-0 in the first leg and followed it with another 13-0 win in the return leg.

The result is described as one of the heaviest defeats in recent continental qualifying history.

The comprehensive wins have sealed Comoros’ place in the next round of qualification.

In the first leg, Comoros delivered a dominant attacking performance to take control of the tie.

The Coelacanths wasted no time asserting their dominance, with Fatima Saïd Madjiri opening the scoring after just eight minutes before a series of goals followed.

Comoros continued to press forward relentlessly, overpowering Sudan with sustained attacking pressure and clinical finishing.

Nine different players scored in a standout team performance that highlighted the depth and quality of the Comoros squad.

By full time, Comoros had recorded a 17-goal victory, putting them firmly in control of the tie before completing a 13-0 win in the second leg to advance to the next round of qualifiers.
