Ateny Wek Ateny -Presidential Press Secretary.

The office of the President says the attack on Raja County by Sudanese warplane will not affect the relation between the two countries.

The attack happened at Dem-Jallab, an area about 35 miles west of Raja town in Western Bahr El-Ghazal State.

Two people were killed and seven others wounded.

The Press Secretary in the office of the President, Ateny Wek Ateny, says the two countries have agreed to deescalate the tension along the borders.

‘‘It will not affect the relationships between South Sudan and Sudan given that, while the Minister of Foreign Affairs was in Khartoum, both Sudan and South Sudan agreed to deescalate the tensions between the two countries, and they solved whatever problems that happened between the two countries amicably and found peaceful solution to the problems that are hanging between the two countries.” Ateny said.

He condemned the attack on Raja by Sudan Armed Forces.

Last week Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs said the two countries agreed to hold a joint security committee meeting that will discuss the demarcation of borderline.
