The government forces say the SPLA in Opposition forces have shelled the headquarters of the oil fields in Unity State.

Col Philip Aguer SPLA spokesperson says the opposition forces attacked “Al-Wehda area” in the past two days.

Al Wehda is 20 kilometers north of Bentiu.

“They attacked the place with ‘Hawn’ yesterday morning at 4:00am and the day before yesterday at 10:00am and in the evening hours too,” Col Aguer said.

“But the government forces are in control. But we did not get the details of the casualties.”

There have been no comments from the SPLA in Opposition forces.

Colonel Aguer says the government forces are now in full control of the area.
