Bridge Employment Solution – the company tasked to recruit the National Communication Authority staff has warned of malicious emails targeting candidates recently interviewed for hundreds of NCA job vacancies.

In a press release, the contractor said the scammers are sending emails regarding NCA jobs and acting as representatives of the human resource firm given the work to recruit qualified candidates.

The scammers are also asking for money from the applicants while conveying fake congratulatory messages that they have won the slot.

“Do not hesitate, I have seen your resume and qualifications that possess, that’s why I have chosen you from all the candidates and sent you this email,” reads one of the scamming emails seen by Eye Radio and addressed to one of the candidates.

“This is a lifetime opportunity that comes only once. Send $100 through mobile money to this number +256760549634 within 48 hours,” it continued.

Reacting to the phishing emails, the CEO of Bridge Employment Solutions, Madut Akol Nhial said the firm has no association with the emails being sent out to scam applicants.

“We wish to unequivocally state that Bridge Employment Solutions does not, under any circumstances, ask for money from candidates at any stage of the recruitment process,” Akol said.

The human resource firm said it wishes to safeguard the interest of the applicants and that it will employ rigorous security measures.

The firm also encouraged all candidates to exercise caution and be vigilant when engaging with external parties claiming affiliation with the agency.

Bridge Employment Solution said applicants should only regard official communications from the following authorized email addresses: Bridgeemployment2023@gmail.com or Jobs@nca.gov.ss.

It further said any communication received from alternative sources should be treated with suspicion and reported immediately to a dedicated security team.

Last week, the NCA Directorate, through private firm Bridge Employment Solution, conducted a written test to 3,000 candidates for 87 positions at the Freedom Hall in Juba on Thursday.
