Authorities in Morobo County of Central Equatoria say they are ready to host the celebrations of the third anniversary of the independence.
The state government will celebrate this year’s independence anniversary next week on Friday, two days after the national celebrations.
The County authorities are preparing the area for the state event.
“You can hear behind me there is a machine working, we are cutting grass, preparing, making sure that everything is okay,” Commissioner Moses Soro told Eye Radio.
“We welcome all the visitors who may be coming to Morobo.”
Last year’s celebrations were conducted in Yei.
The Commissioner urged the people of Morobo to be ready to receive the guests who will celebrate with them the Independence Day in the county.
Apart from the national celebrations, marking independence on July 9, each state has been allocated a certain amount for celebrating the Independence Day.
