Lawyers learn legalese

Author : | Published: Tuesday, November 3, 2015

At least 25 lawyers have started a 4-month training on general orientation to legal practices and English language.

The legal counsels are from various government departments and ministries.

Justice Kuol Maguith, Advocate General, said previous beneficiaries of the course described it as successful.

“This course is slightly different from the first one in the sense that the lawyers that we trained a month ago were junior lawyers, but now, we have put together senior legal counsels and junior legal counsels.

This is the second training being offered to the Legal Counsels by the Ministry of Justice in collaboration with International Development Law Organization.

The program is funded by the European Union.
