Calm returns in Gbudwe

Crime rate has reduced in Gbudwe State after the recent peace agreement reached between the government and Arrow Boys, a vigilante group in the area, an official says.

The Arrow Boys had deserted their homes and took up arms amidst insecurity in the country, demanding solutions to issues affecting their communities.
This led to loss of lives and displacement of thousands of civilians in the area before they co-signed the agreement to end hostilities in the area last month.
The, , says the whole region has been calm since then.
“All the children are going to schools and the rate of crimes has completely dropped. And, this week only one criminal case was reported in all the five counties, and we seek that the state will reach its last level,” said Commissioner of Police in the state, Major-General James Monday.
Major-General Monday appealed to the residents to work with the police to restore stability and security in the state.
