The Eastern Equatoria State President of Youth Union has urged young people to be determined, work hard and not be choosey about which jobs they accept in order to promote development in the country.
Epone Emmanuel Lolimo made the remarks during the state youth general assembly which was attended by representatives of youth from all the eight counties of the state.
Mr. Lolimo said the purpose of the general assembly was to encourage youth to come seek for ways to narrow the gaps between them and the policy-makers within the state.
“We need to promote social transformation and economic growth, as a means of achieving of an all-round development, of individuals, and take our state to a news and higher stage of social development. We must also advocate for purposeful peace amongst ourselves and communities.”
Mr. Lolimo urged the youth delegates from the eight counties of Eastern Equatoria state to think deeper over the question of cattle raiding, insecurity, unemployment and the health system in the region.
He also pointed out that there were many ways to help build their nation – other than being politicians.
