The Sudanese Chargé d’Affaires says more than three thousand South Sudanese refugees in the border between Upper Nile State in South Sudan and White Nile state in Sudan are in urgent need of humanitarian help.
Leader of the Minority in the National Parliament, Onyoti Odigo met with Sudanese Chargé d’Affaires, Ambassador Majdi Hamed Mufadal last week to discuss the plight of the South Sudanese refugees in Sudan.
Ambassador Mufadal said their mission will report the issue to Khartoum government
Early this week, UN Humanitarian Coordinator, Toby Lanzer warned that South Sudan could collapse by the end of the year, if urgent action is not taken to help see its people through the current crisis.
Last month International Humanitarian Organizations warned that the lives of 3.7 million civilians in South Sudan could be at risk if their humanitarian needs are not met before the rainy season.
