The much-awaited state of the nation address has been canceled until further notice. It’s unclear why.
However, officials say the President will address the nation ‘as soon as possible’.
“The President will still address the nation….[he] is now engaged in very important issues which are more important than his speech now,” said Micahel Makuei, Minister of Information.
But Mr Makuei could not disclose the important matters the President is tackling.
“So the public should not get scared, but it should keep on waiting; the President will address the nation as soon as possible,” he added.
Many citizens who have expressed their opinions about the address, saying the expected the President to talk about the economic crisis.
Political analysts also expected the address to revolve around the implementation of the August peace deal, and the fuel and dollar shortages.
