SPLA Major shot dead in Tombura

An SPLA officer has been shot dead in Tombura, Western Equatoria State.

The Mayor of Wau town, Arkangelo Anyar told Eye Radio that the circumstances that led to the killing of Major James Martin Ibra are not clear.

Mr. Anyar said the late Major had been missing for a number of days.

“His whereabouts was not known where he is about,” he described.

“Lastly, as you heard, he was shot in Tombura and the body has been brought to us in Wau.”

Mr. Anyar said the body of the late has been sent home for burial.

He also said investigations have started into the death of the SPLA officer.
