The leader of the minority in the National Parliament is calling for a permanent ceasefire between the government and the SPLM-in Opposition in order to allow people to return to their homes.

Hon Onyoti Adigo says both sides should embrace peace and allow unconditional humanitarian access to the Internally Displaced Persons.

Honorable Onyoti told Eye Radio’s Dawn Program that all military aggression and confrontations should stop.

“By doing so, that is the starting of the peace [deal] which has been signed by the President and the rebel, leader Dr. Riek Machar,” he stated.

“The second is there is a need now to go to politics, which is to make a national consensus dialogue for all South Sudanese stakeholders.”

Honorable Onyoti said the national dialogue should include discussions on what sort of systems of governance and institutional reforms that South Sudan needs.
