Paris Saint Germain star Lionel Messi has accepted an offer to join Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia this summer and seeks at least $662 million a year, according to Spanish media.

Messi will leave Paris Saint Germain at the end of this season – discarding a potential return to his former club Barcelona, El Chiringuito reports.

The seven-time balon d’Or winner will instead pair up with former teammate Sergio Busquets, who has also agreed a transfer deal with AL Hilal.

Both Messi and Barcelona captain Busquets will become free agents on June 30.

Messi’s agent has informed Paris Saint Germain that he will not continue in the French capital according to Fabrizio Romano.

Barca have been fruitlessly trying to sign their Argentine legend, but Al-Hilal will snatch him and Busquets as well as another Barca star Jordi Alba.
