Three people were killed and four others wounded yesterday in fighting between cattle keepers and farmers in Northern Bari Payam.

According to the Central Equatoria state Police Commissioner, the clashes took place at mid-day along Terekeka road.

Major General Henry Danima spoke to Eye Radio.

“Some people came there and shot the people in that village; they wounded four people and killed three. We rushed the triple seven there but when they saw the police they ran away to the bush,” he said.

General Danima said the situation is currently calm but that most of the civilians have sought refuge in Juba One Primary school.
