The Juba City Council has launched grading of 9 main roads in Juba town to improve trade and service delivery.

The grading of the roads is being done in cooperation with a road construction company, ABMC and Nile Petroleum Company.

Juba City Mayor Christopher Sarafino Wani told the press today that the grading of the roads will also ease transportation of goods in Juba.

“We are looking at the roads that are mostly used and affect real commuting and transportation of people within the city,” said Mr Wani.

“Once those roads are handled, we shall go to the second priority, and the third priority, and then we see how much and how far we can be able to go with this because the roads of Juba are so many and they might be able to be done within one season or one year.”

Among the nine roads that will be graded are Giada to Jebel road, Muniki road and Gudele road.
