The Ministry of Health has deployed teams to several locations across the country to assess health service delivery and strengthen the health system in order to improve the delivery of quality healthcare services.

According to a statement issued by the ministry this morning, the supervision mission is being coordinated by the Project Management Unit (PMU), which oversees the implementation of the Health Sector Transformation Project (HSTP).

The supportive supervision teams have been dispatched to several locations, including Yirol, Kapoeta, Aweil, and Yambio, with more areas expected to be covered in the coming days.

The ministry said the mission is aimed at assessing the current state of health service delivery, monitoring the implementation of the Health Sector Transformation Project, and providing a clear understanding of the health situation across the country.

During the field visits, the teams will engage healthcare workers, local authorities, and other stakeholders to assess progress, identify challenges, and recommend measures to improve healthcare delivery.

The exercise is also expected to strengthen accountability and support health facilities in delivering quality services to communities.

The ministry said the initiative is part of government efforts to improve healthcare delivery and health outcomes nationwide through the Health Sector Transformation Project.
