Gunmen killed a pastor and abducted three children in Duk County, Jonglei State, on Friday, according to the County Commissioner.
According to Peter Latjor who is the county Commissioner the incident that occurred in the area called Pajeiing village has also left one dead.
Commissioner Peter Latjor Chuol says Pastor Malou Par Gadjang alongside his wife and his four children were traveling to an island when they fell in an ambush in Pajeiing Village.
Peter says pastor Malou was killed on the spot while his ten-year-old boy was injured and the other three abducted.
“Yesterday [Friday, March 15, 2024] at 11 AM a pastor was going to an island when they reached the certain place called Pajeiing they fell into an ambush the Pastor was killed,” Latjot said.
“Three children were abducted, and one child was wounded and they took the mother of the children too,” he said.
“The mother of the children escaped and came back alive, she managed to come back that night that is the incident that occurred in Duk County yesterday.”
