Greater Equatoria Governors meet

Greater Equatoria state governors have held a one-day emergency
meeting in Juba to review the political crisis and security situation
in the country.

The meeting also focused on finding ways of forming Executive Equatoria council boards which would be responsible for speaking on behalf of Greater Equatoria.
Eastern Equatoria Governor Louis Lobong Lojore said the one day meeting resolved that a conference will be conducted to appoint independent Equatoria council boards.

“These boards will champion the affairs of greater Equatoria region views in South Sudan. We agreed that we very soon need to call a meeting of the council, so that we formalize the council, so that they can also speak and address issues concerning, because we have seen that individuals speaking on the behalf Equatoria while they are not officially delegated to do so”, he said.

He said he also met with the National minister of Cabinet Affairs, who is also the secretary of the Crisis management committee to address the issue of delayed money meant Crisis Management Committee in Eastern Equatoria.
