The Management of Eden Commercial Bank says the bank has suffered losses of about one million South Sudanese Pounds when fire burnt down the Custom branch two weeks ago.

The roof of the bank was burnt when fire destroyed a number of houses near the main bus park.

In an exclusive interview with Eye Radio, the Managing Director of Eden Commercial Bank, Festus John, says they have saved all the records of their clients at Custom branch.

“When we estimate the cost of that fire, it’s one million South Sudanese Pounds total-loss because the iron sheets completely burnt and the building is completely down.” He said.

John says they have not resumed work at Custom branch because they are still renovating the building and the process will take some days.
