Dr. John Garang Memorial University of Science and Technology has presented President Salva Kiir with an Award of Honor, citing his work in negotiating peace and expanding the nation’s road and bridge networks.

During the presentation, Vice Chancellor Prof. Abraham Matoc Dhal credited the President’s leadership for the construction of roads and bridges across the country.

He noted that these projects have increased mobility and economic activity. Prof. Matoc also cited the President’s support for the university and the broader education sector.

President Kiir thanked the university leadership for its recent developments.

He specifically pointed to projects completed through partnerships with the World Bank and the African Development Bank, which have delivered new laboratories, ICT facilities, and student scholarships to the campus.
