The former Minister of Information and Broadcasting called on South Sudanese to give the President a chance to form his next cabinet.
Doctor Barnaba Marial Benjamin said on Eye Radio this morning that citizens should not look at the President’s decree from a tribal viewpoint, but to see it as a democratic process.
“Our citizens should take this as a normal process that is the constitutional mandate of the President to reshuffle his government. Once the President decides to withdraw confidence from his colleagues it is not an act of hate or act of hostility or an act of instability.” He said.
Dr. Marial also said that in a democracy re-shuffles should be expected and accepted.
“I am not surprised personally, as a patriotic citizen of the Republic of South Sudan, as a former member of the government as well as the member of Parliament,” he said.
Doctor Marial urged citizens to remain calm and carry on with work and life as usual.
