Aweil businessman arrested for defiling 15-year-old girl

The police in North Bahr El Ghazal state have arrested a trader accused of raping a 15-year-old schoolgirl.

The 27-year-old suspect Wieu Amuk Ngon, a resident of the Nyamlel residential area in Aweil West County allegedly committed the crime on Sunday last week.

The state police commissioner Maj. Gen. Phillip Madut told Eye Radio to say the suspect attacked and sexually abused the girl as she returned home from a night study in the neighborhood.

She was using electricity in a neighbor’s home to revise her books.

The police commissioner says the girl called for rescue when people arrived, they found out that he defiled the girl and that led to his arrest.

Maj. Gen. Madut added that the survivor was taken to the hospital for further treatment.

“The incident happened on the 22nd of this month at Nyamlel, a residential area at 11 am when she was coming back from studying at a neighbor’s house. There was a love affair between the survivor,” Maj. Gen. Madut told Eye Radio.

“The accused name Wieu Amuk Ngong, a 27-year-old and 15-year-old survivor is a primary 5 student,

“The police are investigating the accused after a case was filed against him under section 247 and the survivor was taken to hospital for treatment.”

Amuk has been charged with defiling the Primary five schoolgirls.
