Veteran journalist, Alfred Taban says he has given up Journalism for politics after his appointment as a Member of Parliament in the transitional parliament.
Mr. Taban was appointed among five other MPs on Monday in a Presidential decree read on the state-run South Sudan Broadcasting Television (SSBC). President Kiir relieved six SPLM – IO representatives from the transitional legislative assembly.
He told Eye Radio that he will be representing his home town Kajo-Keji County in Yei River, on the SPLM in opposition faction ticket under the First Vice President.
