He urges all South Sudanese to forgive each other and reconcile.

“We must start little by forgiving each other and reconcile individually, at family level, household level, Boma level, Payam level, county level, state level and finally national level. My fellow citizen of Central Equatoria state I still reiterate for you to uphold the spirit of Equatoria of being discipline, objective, responsible, hardworking committed and peaceful for you shall always be rewarded, I wish you all prosperous news year.” He said.

Governor Konga urged all the leaders of political parties, faith based groups and the government of South Sudan to work together with international community and the IGAD to bring peace.

“I would like also to appreciate the efforts of UN, EU, AU, Troika countries, IGAD, UNIMISS, and friends of south Sudan for their endeavors to ensure peace return to south Sudan, while appreciating the efforts of IGAD in guiding the peace process ……we must appreciate the concept of home grown peace. The concept of home grown peace is durable, sustainable and implementable.” The Governor said.
