WBGS forms health advisory committee

The Ministry of Health in Western Bahr el Ghazal State has formed a health advisory committee comprising of 15 members for Wau Teaching Hospital.

In a ministerial order, the board is mandated to establish hospital policies and advise the hospital management on decisions to take necessary measures.

It will be monitoring and supervise the operation of the hospital, supporting senior management in strategic planning.

The order states that the 15-member committee will work to promote quality and effective service delivery at the hospital and oversee hospital financial management.

It shall also conduct quarterly meeting to review the status of the service delivery.

Members of the committee were drawn from different departments, including state assembly, business chamber, religious faiths representatives, women and youth group.

Some were taken from security organs, municipal council, and the University.
