The Council of Ministers of Upper Nile State has approved measures to license and regulate companies operating in the state, alongside the establishment of cooperative societies and unions.

According to a statement issued by the office of Governor James Koang Chuol, the decision aims to strengthen economic activities and promote sustainable development across Upper Nile.

The resolutions were passed during a cabinet meeting chaired by Governor Chuol.

The state government stated that the measures will help organize economic activities, foster cooperation among communities and businesses, and improve the state’s overall regulatory framework.

Governor Chuol called on members of the Council of Ministers to strengthen cooperation and support one another in carrying out their duties, placing a strong focus on advancing the government’s key priorities.

He further stressed the importance of collective responsibility and coordinated efforts in implementing development and economic reform agendas for the benefit of the people of Upper Nile State.
