UAE donates two-year field hospital to NBGs

The United Arab Emirates has donated a field hospital to be built in Aweil East County of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State to serve the health needs of the communities for two years.

Madhol Field Hospital is being erected using containers and will reportedly be operational within three weeks as a backup service while the main hospital building is being constructed.

According to the state governor’s office, the project being implemented by Abu Dhabi-based Burjeel Hospital Holdings as a donation from Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the country.

In a visit to the site, Governor Mawut said he acknowledges the importance of the facility towards improving health care services. The health services to be provided have not been specified.

Mawut said the state government would supervise the construction company—Turmaks, to ensure the project’s timely completion.

He added that the hospital will be the biggest in the country and will provide so many benefits to local and neighboring communities.
