SPLM Youth says it has formed a new Political Parties’ Youth Forum to assess the impact of the current political crisis in the country.

The body is composed of members from eight political parties to unite opinion to address youth issues.

The chairperson of the Youth Forum, Agel Ring Machar, told journalists that reconciliation among youth is their priority.

“South Sudan is for all of us and regardless of differences that have been created by the events of 15th December 2013, the youth are hopeful that this country will come together because you can see, even in this forum, all tribes are represented,” said Mr Ring.

“So, unity is possible but we are pushing our leaders in Addis to make sure that the war ends and give us a chance to unite ourselves, to reconcile and to move on.”

Mr Agel said the group is also seeking to have a youth bank to empower youth projects.
