South African VP visits Kiir

The Vice President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, is in the Country for one day visit.

He is in Juba for meeting with President Salva Kiir on the peace process in South Sudan.

Ambassador Mawien Makol, spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,  says the meeting between President Kiir and the South African VP will also focus on bilateral relations between the two countries.

“The main issue they will be talking about is the peaceful settlement of the conflict here and then talk on other bilateral issues of course,” Amb Makol told Eye Radio.

South African Vice President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to travel to Kampala and Dar Salaam tomorrow for further consultations on the peace process in South Sudan.

He is also expected to meet with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni and the President of Tanzania, Jakaya Kikwete and consult with them on how to bring lasting peace to South Sudan.
